Robinho replies

Skysports.com has teamed up with Robinho's official website to give readers the chance to put their questions to the Brazilian superstar.

We were simply inundated with people wanting to quiz the Manchester City ace on a wide range of subjects but had to narrow down our selections.

Robinho rarely gives interviews but he was happy to sit down and answer the following points in an exclusive chat with skysports.com readers.

Pierre Dagnee

Spain, Italy and even France for that matter seem to have been a preferred destination for Brazilian footballers over the Premier League in the past, with some saying that the English style of football inhibits the free-flowing nature of the Brazilian game. Why do you think this is and do you see a change around the corner?

Robinho

Some Brazilian players adapted well to Spanish football; for some it's easier. For example Ronaldo, who was the best player in the world. Also Ronaldinho Gaucho, Romario, Rivaldo. But that does not mean that we can't also play well in England. After all the ball is the same anywhere in the world. It is the same in Japan, England, France. Those who know how to play can play anywhere in the world.

Which Manchester City player do you think has the potential to be a world class player?

Robinho

This is a hard question. I think City have excellent players. Shaun Wright-Phillips, Dietmar Hamman, Elano.... now the club has hired two other great players in Craig Bellamy and Wayne Bridge. Any player can become a world class player. He just needs to have the will, the determination and work hard.

I have seen City transform from a laughing stock to a growing global financial empire. With that being said, where do you see City in 10 years' time?

Robinho

I see City as a respected club, one that every player will want to play for. Hopefully until then the club will have won many titles such as the Premier League, Champions League. Our objective is to be big, but we must work hard. We are already big, but we can be bigger by winning titles and hopefully Manchester City will be improving every year. And each year we must be competing in more challenging competitions and reach higher levels.

Considering City's recent cash, what five players would you like to see in the squad and why?

Robinho

Kaka. Messi. Let me see. Deco. Adriano. I don't think we would need anymore. These four would be it. These four are enough!

Daryl Frost

As an influential Manchester City player would you like to see world class stars on the same pitch as you, or talented academy players coming through the ranks and doing well?

Robinho

I believe in the academy players. Great players can be found there. Some times they come to practise with us and show their quality. The coach gets two or three players to play with us and they are good. Of course City has very good players. I trust the current squad and if any new players come to help us they will be welcome. But I am also happy with what we have.

Robinho, in response to players such as Cesc Fabreagas who has urged Manchester City to be careful with their money, do you think it is healthy for a club to come out of nowhere with the resources to buy any of the world's top players?

Robinho

I think this is good. It is good for our team. Football means investment. To bring top players it is necessary to make the investment. City has the resources, so this is very good for us. If the others don't, that's too bad for them.

Cathal Breathnach

Like many football fans, I have been impressed at how well you have adapted to the Premier League since joining City in the summer, but who has been your toughest opponent since arriving in England?

Robinho

That's hard. To play against Liverpool was difficult, against Chelsea also, and against Manchester United. It is difficult to name just one. It was difficult to play against all of them, because all of them have players of great quality.
