Watford want extended Webber stay

WATFORD boss Ray Lewington is hoping to extend loan signing Danny Webber's stay at Vicarage Road.

The Manchester United youngster is currently enjoying a three-month loan deal at the First Division club, but Watford want to make his stay even longer.

The 20-year-old, who is in his second spell at The Hornets, has impressed Lewington with his performances this season and he scored a brilliant solo goal in Monday's 5-2 win over Coventry.

"Danny's come down from Manchester United and he has enthusiasm and a willingness to work," said Lewington. "He's an absolute credit.

"If you put a year's loan on him it would put everyone else off and I'm hoping to do that."
