Lewis Price has been called into Wales' senior squad for the first time ahead of John Toshack's maiden competitive match in charge against Austria later this month.
Toshack has included the Ipswich Town goalkeeper in his party for the 2006 World Cup qualifiers against Austria at the end of March.
Price, who is not number one at Portman Road, has been named in the squad as back-up to Danny Coyne and Paul Jones after being promoted from the Under-21s.
Wales will entertain Austria in Cardiff on March 26 before travelling to Vienna four days later as Toshack looks to put his nation's qualification campaign back on an even keel.
The Wales boss enjoyed a 2-0 victory over Hungary last month on his debut and will hope to maintain that form against the Austrians.
But Toshack will have to select a team from a squad which does not contain Robbie Savage, after the combative midfielder announced his retirement from international football on Monday.
Savage's absence opens the door for someone else to make a name for themselves, with Carl Fletcher and Carl Robinson set to be paired up in the engine room.
With the likes of Savage, Gary Speed and Mark Pembridge, Toshack is likely to look to Ryan Giggs, John Hartson and Craig Bellamy to provide the experience against Austria.
Squad: Coyne (Burnley), Jones (Wolves), Price (Ipswich); Delaney (Aston Villa), J Collins, Gabbidon (Cardiff), Page (Coventry), D Collins (Sunderland), Edwards (Wolves), Partridge (Motherwell); Ricketts (Swansea), Roberts (Tranmere), Davies (Tottenham), Fletcher, Williams (West Ham), Koumas (West Brom), Giggs (Manchester United), Robinson (Sunderland); Earnshaw (West Brom), Bellamy (Newcastle, on loan at Celtic), Hartson (Celtic).
