Luiz Felipe Scolari has named Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani and Paulo Ferreira in the Portugal squad for the upcoming Euro 2008 qualifiers against Poland and Serbia.

Manchester United starlet Nani, who scored a match-winning goal against Tottenham on Sunday with a long-range strike, has been recalled to the squad for the games on 8th and 12th September.

Nani had been omitted from the squad for Portugal's previous game, a 1-1 draw with Armenia on 22nd August.

And Real Madrid defender Pepe, who joined the club from Porto this summer, becomes the latest Brazil-born player to be included in the squad.

Pepe follows in the footsteps of Barcelona star Deco, who adopted Portuguese nationality four years ago, and Scolari has no problems with picking players born elsewhere.

"Some of the best teams in the world have naturalised players," he said.

"That's how it is nowadays."

Squad: Quim (Benfica), Ricardo (Real Betis), Bruno Alves (Porto), Fernando Meira (Stuttgart), Jorge Andrade (Juventus), Bosingwa (Porto), Pepe (Real Madrid), Miguel (Valencia), Caneira (Valencia), Paulo Ferreira (Chelsea), Deco (Barcelona), Petit (Benfica), Joao Moutinho (Sporting Lisbon), Maniche (Atletico Madrid), Raul Meireles (Porto), Tiago (Juventus), Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United), Helder Postiga (Porto), Hugo Almeida (Werder Bremen), Nani (Manchester United), Nuno Gomes (Benfica), Ricardo Quaresma (Porto), Simao Sabrosa (Atletico Madrid)
