Garay: Hot property
Argentine star Ezequiel Garay has confirmed to skysports.com that he dreams of playing in England.
The 21-year-old central defender is shining at Racing Santander in La Liga - who he joined in 2005 from Newell's Old Boys.
Liverpool and Manchester United have both dispatched their scouting network to watch Garay in recent weeks, whilst Real Madrid and Barcelona are also well aware of his progress.
Garay, who has four years left on his current deal at El Sardinero, has a get-out clause of 20 million euros (£14.2million) and Racing will want close to that figure before they think about letting the player leave, although the club insist they have had no offers.
"We know the situation and the number of scouts that are at our games, but nobody has sent anything to us," a club spokesman confirmed.
"We are calm and, as normal if something arrived, we would study it."
Garay himself refuses to talk of his potential suitors and remains calm about the interest.
"These sorts of rumours appeared last season, but I am still with Racing," he told skysports.com.
"This news does not concern me because my only objective is to play well for Racing - if an offer does arrive that I will look at it."
He does admit playing in the Premier League would be a huge lure.
"To play in England is a dream," he admitted.
"But I insist that I do not want to talk about the hypothesis. I do not have any preferences about any clubs.
"My head is in Racing but like all professionals I would like to progress.
"But I have spoken with the directors of Racing only this week and there is no real news about me."
