Berbatov celebrates with Wayne Rooney

Dimitar Berbatov has admitted he would like to end his career at Manchester United.

The Bulgarian, who joined United on transfer deadline day from Tottenham, says he is enjoying life at Old Trafford.

Berbatov has been accused in the past of being a sullen character, but the striker insists he is delighted with his move to United.

If I am not happy here, I cannot be happy anywhere," Berbatov is quoted as saying in the Daily Star.

"Everything is like Ryan Giggs once said. He was here from the beginning and he doesn't want to be anywhere else. I am here. I don't want to go anywhere else.

"I find myself sitting at home sometimes, thinking: 'Hey, I am at Manchester United!' I am the happiest guy. It is a wonderful thing. But you must keep fighting in every game."

Relief

Berbatov admits he was relieved to break his duck for United against Aalborg in the Champions League scoring twice in the 3-0 win in Denmark and he is confident he can handle the pressure of playing for the European champions

"I was relieved, obviously. First of all, I was disappointed to miss my first chance because sometimes in games you get only the one chance," he added.

"It was frustrating but I just kept trying and, of course, in the end I scored two.

"The pressure is always there and I hope I can deal with that with the help of my team-mates.

Embarrassed
Eyebrows were raised when Berbatov did not celebrate his first strike for United, but the classy hit-man says the reasons for his lack of celebrations were because he was angry and embarrassed about missing an earlier opportunity.

"I didn't celebrate my first goal because I was still angry and disappointed with myself over the first one I missed. I was embarrassed," noted Berbatov.

"For a guy who has been bought for all this money, I must take these chances so that is why I was angry."
