Fabio Capello has described the draw for the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League as 'diabolical'.

Three of the four Premier League clubs were paired with Italian sides in Friday's draw in Nyon, while Liverpool must overcome Real Madrid.

Manchester United will face Serie A leaders Inter Milan, Chelsea meet Juventus and Arsenal tackle Roma.

England boss Capello was disappointed with the outcome and admits it is difficult to predict who will progress in the competition.

"The draw in Nyon was diabolical," lamented Capello, a former coach of Juventus, AC Milan, Roma and Real.

"With all the permutations that was practically impossible. I didn't expect the three Italian teams to be drawn with English teams.

"But they are games that will bring numerous suggestions and impossible predictions.

"It will be difficult for Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United but it will be equally difficult for Roma, Juve and Inter."
