Sir Alex Ferguson on Owen Hargreaves Quotes of the week

Midfielder Hargreaves, who has been hindered by tendinitis in his knees for much of the last two years, has not featured for United so far this season.

World renowned knee surgeon Dr Richard Steadman, who has been closely involved in aiding Hargreaves' fitness and rehabilitation, reported earlier this week the 29-year-old was poised to return against the Baggies at Old Trafford on Saturday.

"He has missed training for the last few days.

"We are having difficulty with the doctor in Colorado coming out with statements that are not accurate.

"It is not fair to the player for him to say Owen is going to be playing tomorrow.

"It is ridiculous. I pick the team and I have been doing it for quite a while.
