Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed he has no intention of letting any of his strikers leave - despite having a choice of seven senior forwards.

Fergie's quartet from last season - Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez, Dimitar Berbatov and Michael Owen - remain, but numbers have been boosted by the return of Federico Macheda, Danny Welbeck and Mame Biram Diouf from season-long loan deals.

With new signing Ashley Young also capable of playing upfront, the Scot has an embarrassment of riches in his Old Trafford frontline.

And while he admits it will be difficult to keep all his forwards happy and give them sufficient playing time, Ferguson does not foresee any of them leaving before the transfer deadline.

"I am not unhappy with that situation - I am not going to complain about it. Some clubs would love to have seven strikers," said the 69-year-old.

"There is a difficulty of course, in terms of managing the situation in the sense of the number of games they can get. But I've got those players - so get on with it.

"We'll compensate by making sure they train well and I expect them all to be here at the end of the transfer window.

"You might get an injury down the road you never know. At the moment I've no intention of changing."
