Geremi completes Blues move

GEREMI has completed his move from Real Madrid to Chelsea, planetfootball.com can confirm.

The Cameroonian star has been in talks with The Blues for the past few days and has completed his move after having a medical.

The African is Chelsea's second signing in 24 hours, following hot-on-the-heels of Glen Johnson's move from West Ham.

Chelsea moved for Geremi last week and agreed a ‚é¼10 million deal with Real, who had rejected offers from Middlesbrough - who had the player on loan last season.

Boro could not and would not match the figure that Chelsea offered and so, Geremi was always heading to Stamford Bridge.

With bids also lodged for both Damien Duff and Wayne Bridge, this week promises to be an exciting one for Chelsea fans.

Geremi is keen to get his Chelsea career underway and is relishing the prospect of working with the array of stars at Stamford Bridge.

"They are one of the bigger teams in the Premier League," he told Chelsea TV. "They have big players and it is much easier to play with big players.  I am really happy to get this chance.

"I have got a lot of ambition and I would like to win a lot of titles, that`s why I am here."
