Reports in Spain claim Real Madrid are ready to buy Michael Ballack as well as Arjen Robben.

Chelsea and Real have been talking for weeks over the possible transfer of Robben but have yet to strike an acceptable accord.

Now it is claimed to help the deal through, Real have informed Chelsea they will also take the German midfielder in a joint deal worth 40 million euros (£27million).

Real boss Bernd Schuster has previously said he was not looking to land his fellow countryman Ballack - but he now admits he would not have any complaints if he did have him at his disposal.

Open to idea

"I have not had any news of possible imminent arrivals, but I would be happy with that [Robben and Ballack]," Schuster told Onda Madrid.

"I have hopes and I'm not in a hurry. We will continue working and if there is any signing they would not have any problems adapting to our team."
