Petr Cech is anticipating a tense afternoon at Stamford Bridge on Sunday as Chelsea rely on Wigan to do them a favour in the Premier League title race.

Chelsea are level on points with Manchester United going into the final game of the season but have an inferior goal difference.

They must beat Bolton this weekend and hope that Manchester United drop points at Wigan if they are to finish top, while a draw would be enough for Blues if United suffer a shock defeat.

Cech accepts that Chelsea's destiny is not in their own hands but is staying positive as he believes Wigan will put up a good fight against Sir Alex Ferguson's side.

"It is 90 minutes of emotion, we know we need to win and hope Manchester United slip," said the goalkeeper.

"It will be exciting for everyone, I am sure people will have pocket radios listening to the other game.

Belief

"We know what we need to do against Bolton, and we will only have hope if we have three points.

"I know Wigan will not want to see Man United celebrate in their own stadium, so they will try and get a positive result.

"We still believe. Sometimes you have to go through all the bad things to get something positive in the end."

Chelsea clinched their first title for 50 years at Bolton in 2005 and Cech feels the memory of that success can help to spur them on.

He explained: "No-one can ever forget that, after 50 years of waiting for the title. It was a special moment in the club's history and for myself personally.

"I managed to be the number one goalkeeper and won the title and Carling Cup. This is something I will never forget."
