Scolari: Happy

Luiz Felipe Scolari is happy to have started his Chelsea tenure with back-to-back Premier League wins.

The Brazilian's reign opened with an emphatic 4-0 home victory over Portsmouth before he saw his team put in a contrasting display in Sunday's 1-0 success at Wigan.

Chelsea meet Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge this Sunday, live on Sky Sports 1, and Scolari is satisfied with his team's start.

"I am happy because we have played two games and we win two games," Scolari told Sky Sports News.

"It's difficult, it's not easy, and we now have a derby on Sunday and all the teams are very well.

"If we are arriving in a final in a big situation, we will be better than now because there have only been two games, but I am happy."

Important

Scolari also praised the attitude of his players, with the likes of Michael Ballack and Michael Essien coming through 90 minutes against Wigan despite an interrupted preparation.

"Because the players want to train and work very hard, the players help our team," added Scolari.

"In the last game we had two or three players who, if it was a normal situation, would not play because of injury.

"They played and we won, and now we are not playing for three or four days, and maybe tomorrow they will start training and they will help our team. This is important."
