Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari has revealed that Nicolas Anelka is a fresh injury concern for The Blues.

The West London giants have been beset with injuries in recent weeks with Deco, Ricardo Carvalho, Michael Essien and Didier Drogba all sidelined.

Ashley Cole, Joe Cole, John Terry and Alex are also carrying knocks which meant Scolari only had 15 players training on Friday ahead of their Premier League clash with Aston Villa on Sunday.

Scolari's latest concern is over Anelka but he is hopeful the Frenchman will make the match against Villa.

"He has a little problem with muscle spasms," said Scolari.

"He did not train on Friday but I think he will train the day before the match.

"He has 10 assists this season, and we need him to make it 12."
