Scolari: Knows what he is doing
Sir Alex Ferguson believes Luiz Felipe Scolari has all the necessary credentials to be a success in England.
The Chelsea boss has come under criticism from some quarters for failing to get the best out of his talented side.
However, the Blues remain in the hunt for Premier League title glory and have progressed safely through to the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League.
Having previously managed at the top level with the Brazil and Portugal national sides Scolari does have undoubted pedigree, and his Manchester United counterpart has given a ringing endorsement of his abilities.
"Scolari has fantastic experience, which should stand him in good stead coming into any league in the world," said Ferguson.
"He has managed Brazil and Portugal and no matter where you get your experience it is still vital.
"People are looking at Nigel Clough (new Derby manager) and saying he has not managed in the league but 10 years at Burton is as good experience as you are ever going to get.
"It allows you to go down the road and know which door to knock on.
"I don't think there has been much change in the Chelsea team other than the swing in terms of home and away form.
"They are still consistent, they are still very difficult to play against and they still have very good players."
Chelsea face United on Sunday in a crunch clash at Old Trafford, a game which can be seen exclusively live on Sky Sports 1 and HD1.
Ferguson is expecting a tough test for his side from their fellow title contenders, especially as the Blues are now more formidable on their travels than they are on home soil.
"Normally you are talking about Chelsea being unbeaten at home," reflected the Red Devils chief.
"But this season it is their away record that has kept them at the top. It is absolutely outstanding."
