Everton boss David Moyes has revealed he is yet to receive any contact regarding teenage sensation Jack Rodwell.

The midfield prodigy is the latest product of the Toffees' youth academy to be linked with a move to Manchester United, five years after Wayne Rooney made the switch.

The 18-year-old, rated at £20million, has made a number of eye-catching performances for the Merseysiders this term, with Chelsea also believed to be having a closer look.

Everton's league form has suffered this season after the ongoing transfer saga which eventually led to Joleon Lescott's big-money move to Manchester City at the beginning of the season.

Now rumours are rife that Rodwell's future also lies away from Goodison Park and although Moyes admits he cannot guarantee his future at the club, he is yet to receive a phone call.

Moyes told the Daily Mail: "Why is it inevitable Jack will go?

"I can't turn round and say it will never happen because I said that about Lescott, but we have heard nothing so far."

He added: "I haven't had a single phone call and I can tell you we are not sitting on any offer."
