Drogba: Rooney 'unbelievable'
Chelsea striker Didier Drogba insists he does not get frustrated by comparisons with Manchester United's Wayne Rooney.
The two forwards are both in excellent form this season and are battling to be the top scorer in the Premier League as their clubs fight for the title.
Debate regarding the respective strengths of Drogba and Rooney has brought back memories of the arguments surrounding the attributes of former United star Ruud van Nistelrooy and ex-Arsenal ace Thierry Henry.
However, Drogba claims he is not bothered by the topic and thinks that his Red Devils counterpart is a 'different player'.
"It does not annoy me if people compare the two of us. I do not believe there is a best player," said the Chelsea man.
"Maybe you can be the best at a certain time, but another time it will be someone else. Rooney is unbelievable, but we are different players."

Ajeel Muzaffar (Arsenal fan) says...
I admire Wayne Rooney and i think he is the third best striker in the world. In second i think it is Torres and in first without a doubt i know is Drogba. He threatens all teams including arsenal with an amazing record of about 13 goals in 11 games. Drogba is more powerful and he is more clever. Rooney is still quite young, but if he's asked to perform well he will have to try extra hard. On the other hand if Drogba is asked to perform well he wont hesitate to do so.

As an England fan it pains me to say it, but Drogba at his best versus Rooney at his best, i think personally that Drogba would be a lot more difficult for defenders to deal with, purely down to his undoubted power & Pace.

I agree with Drogba, they can both have runs of form at different times, but they are different players, both amazing and you would want both in your side.

As a Chelsea fan, I'm partial to Drogba, he can be unstoppable at times, (with or without his theatrics). I will give Rooney his due though, he's a fantastic striker. KTBFFH

totally agree with Drogba. to be honest if i had to pick a dream team with a 4-4-2 formation, Drogba would be the target man and rooney would be the trequartista.
