Andriy Voronin has brushed off suggestions he is unhappy at Liverpool.

The Ukrainian international striker arrived at Anfield on a free transfer from Bayer Leverkusen this summer, but has made only a limited contribution to the team so far.

Fernando Torres' form has had something to do with that, but Voronin has also been battling with injury for substantial parts of the season.

Reports emanating out of Russia have claimed that the 28-year-old is dissatisfied with his role in Rafa Benitez's squad, but Voronin has now come out to quash those rumours.

"I never said I don't like it here," Voronin told the club's official website. "When I first moved here I didn't find it easy because I'd lived in Germany for 12 years.

"I didn't know the language but I'm gradually getting there. My wife had a baby here and I am getting more and more used to life here every day.

"We like it here and we don't have any problems with life in England or the town, except for the weather.

"Hopefully I can still help the team this season. I think I still have a lot to show the fans. I would like to stay and I hope my future is at Liverpool."

See if Voronin can win a starting role for the Reds' next match at home to Blackburn Rovers live on Sky Sports 1 from 1.30pm on Sunday.
