Liverpool have completed the signing of promising Brazilian youngster Vitor Flora.

The 18-year-old striker spent last season in his homeland with Botafogo, drawing admiring glances from across Europe.

However, it is Rafa Benitez who has taken the decision to bring the talented teenager to England.

The deal has been helped by the fact Flora holds an Italian passport, ruling out the need for a work permit application to be lodged.

The move does still require international clearance, but that is expected to be a formality.

As a result, Flora could make his debut in a Liverpool shirt when the Reds' reserves get their season up and running against Middlesbrough on Tuesday.
