Midfielder Alexander Hleb has admitted he is impressed by Liverpool's summer transfer activity but has confidence in the Arsenal squad.

The Gunners have seen top players Thierry Henry and Freddie Ljungberg depart the Emirates Stadium over the close season, while Julio Baptista returned to Real Madrid following his loan spell.

Boss Arsene Wenger has recruited the likes of Eduardo Da Silva with many others joining the squad after progressing from the youth ranks.

Arsenal's incoming transfer activity is in contrast to Liverpool's spending, with the Reds bringing in Andrej Voronin, Fernando Torres and Ryan Babel, which Hleb admits he admires as he ponders the season without Henry.

"I like Liverpool's transfer policy best of all," Hleb told The Mirror.

"Torres, Lukas Leiva, Babel, Voronin, Benayoun - buying them one after the other is impressive.

"We've only had a few acquisitions. But the squad is very good.

"At the moment I still don't know how we will live without (Thierry) Henry. He is a great player and a part of Arsenal.

"But he wanted to leave. No one is irreplaceable and him leaving is not a tragedy."

Hleb also revealed his aim for the forthcoming campaign, saying: "It's my dream to score 10 or more goals this season."
