Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner is planning showdown talks with Arsene Wenger after being left out of the squad for last weekend's win over Portsmouth.

The Danish international was not included in the 16-man squad for last Sunday's 3-1 win over Portsmouth at Emirates Stadium.

The 19-year-old is miffed at being left out and is planning to discuss the matter with Wenger when he returns from international duty.

"I didn't get any explanation," Bendtner told The Mirror.

"I don't know why he did that and I'll demand to know why and have a talk with Arsene Wenger when I get back.

"But what is said will stay between us."
