Kolo Toure has admitted Arsenal are growing increasingly confident as a result of their brilliant start to the season.

The Gunners won their tenth game in a row on Sunday as Robin van Persie secured a 3-2 victory over Sunderland in the 80th minute.

Toure accepts that Arsenal's habit of scoring late goals contrasts with last season, when they were often frustrated.

"When we go out on the pitch we believe we will win," the defender told the Daily Star.

"When you're winning games you sometimes have that feeling. You think the win will come along and that is what's happened to us.

"We have the mental strength and that's the big difference because last season, when we were 1-0 down or the other team was playing better, it was difficult for us to come back."

Keep on winning

Arsenal are two points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand on Manchester United, but Toure has challenged his team-mates to keep up the intensity and string as many wins together as possible.

He urged: "We always go on and get the winner at the moment. Things have been right for us because every time we need to come back and win we do it and we ought to keep going.

"I think it's really important for the team to keep on winning because when it's like that the confidence goes higher and higher.

"We are doing that very well and the hardest thing is just to keep going. We just focus on the next game and forget about the past."
