Owen Hargreaves is convinced Manchester United will prove themselves to be the best side in the country when they meet Arsenal at the weekend.

United travel to Emirates Stadium on Saturday trailing their hosts at the Premier League summit only on goal difference, and it should be an explosive game which ensues in the capital.

After a sluggish start to the season United have now kicked into top form, with eight consecutive wins testimony to some stunning football.

Top dog

Hargreaves accepts Arsenal too have been hugely impressive, but he insists it is United who remain top dog in England's top flight.

"Arsenal have been playing extremely well and are playing some lovely football but I still think we're the top club in England," said Hargreaves.

"It will be a fabulous game for the fans to enjoy but we are very confident going into it.

"We are winning games comfortably and we are not even in top gear yet."
