Alan McInally: Some superb footbal by Arsenal
The passing was wonderful and some of the football was really first class.
Alan McInally watches Arsenal beat Wigan.
Quotes of the week
Even without Cesc Fabregas, Robin van Persie, Aleksandr Hleb and many more, Arsenal still managed to put in a performance and pick up three points when Wigan came to the Emirates on Saturday.
Alan McInally was impressed with the football Arsene Wenger's patched up team played in north London, even if they left it until the 83rd and 85th minutes to score the winning goals in a 2-0 victory.
He said: "It could have been more. The passing was wonderful and some of the football was really first class.
"You have to give Wigan some credit because they really frustrated Arsenal as much as they could.
"Overall in the end, Arsenal has probably had at least 60 or 70 per cent of possession and it was all about whether they could break them down.
"There was one little spell in the second half where everything was just getting a little bit frustrated and Wenger was up on his feet, but now of course he is all smiles.
"Arsenal are looking very, very good at the moment. Theo Walcott was carried off, so that is not good news, but that is the only part of it that Wenger won't have enjoyed.
"The rest of it? He will have been absolutely delighted!"

What should I say about this team? It''s just unstoppable. Gunners, you rock, even without Arsenal legend Thierry Henry. Go Gunners go, and win all the titles this year.

Gunners look devastating this season. A couple of seasons back it was the final touch that let them down, or maybe overplaying it at times, but this season this young side has learned to win it dirty, against some physical sides. But beautiful football has always been part of AW''s plans.... C''mon u Gunners......

Arsenal have been showing more and more that the game ends wen the final whistle blows! !remember against Man Utd they salvaged a point at a time when we all thought that it was over. The young lads aren''t maturing - they are already mature! It''s thumbs up for Monsieur Wenger for giving us an entertaining brand of football!

Wenger is really the best ever coach i''ve ever seen. No matter how many injuries he had, even with reserve team players, they can go and win at a Premiership club. Wenger is really a genius.

Arsenal played fantastic a game against Wigan. They were without Febregas, Hleb, Gilberto, Diaby and Robin Van Persie. That shows there have a great team to count on. Every player in Arsenal has the confidence to play against any team in the world. They are playing brilliant passes and attractive game.

i don''t think Arsenal has the depth to finish the season. If Cesc is not available, it will be very tough for them.
