Chelsea will play Everton in the semi-finals of the Carling Cup, while Arsenal have been drawn against North London rivals Tottenham.

Chelsea, the last team to clinch their place in the last four following a 2-0 victory over Liverpool, will be at home for the first leg and will then travel to Goodison Park a fortnight later.

Everton booked their semi-final berth with a 2-1 victory at West Ham last Wednesday.

Arsenal will be looking forward to a possible rematch of last season's final after being paired with Spurs.

The Gunners came out on top against Tottenham in the semi-finals 12 months ago and will hope to build a lead at Emirates Stadium before travelling to White Hart Lane for the return leg.

Arsenal also face Tottenham in the Premier League this weekend.

First legs to be played on week commencing 7th January, second legs to be played on week commencing 21st January
