Adebayor: Happy families
Emmanuel Adebayor believes Arsenal's happy family team spirit has been the secret to the Gunners' success this season.
Arsenal are currently joint top of the Premier League with Manchester United and they face a UEFA Champions League quarter-final showdown with Liverpool in April.
The young Gunners saw their chances of success written off at the start of the season following the departure of Thierry Henry to Barcelona.
However with a league and cup double still possible, striker Adebayor has compared life at Arsenal - who face Chelsea live on Sky Sports 1 on Grand Slam Sunday - to a family.
"We are all the same generation," Adebayor told the Daily Express. "We all understand each other well, we know what we need to do.
"After the match sometimes we go into town together and have a drink and a chat.
"We hang out together, live together and we're like a family."
And Adebayor, who has scored 19 league goals this season, believes the tight team spirit at Emirates Stadium has helped him develop a telepathic understanding with midfielders Cesc Fabregas and Mathieu Flamini.
"Here everyone know about the clairvoyance of Cesc Fabregas. He sees the game so clearly, better than anyone," added Adebayor.
"I don't even need to talk to him for him to know where I am - same with Flamini, I don't need to ask.
"They know I like to make runs and to receive the ball deep so we don't need to talk, all I need to do is call and the ball arrives."
