Cesc Fabregas admits he is unlikely to start for Spain against Sweden tomorrow, but insists he is perfectly happy to make an impact from the bench.

Fabregas was left out of Spain's 4-1 win against Russia as coach Luis Aragones opted instead for Barcelona's Xavi and Villarreal's Marcos Senna in centre midfield.

And, although Fabregas came off the bench to score a header late on, he accepts that it is unlikely Aragones will look to change the side after such a convincing win.

"Of course, everyone wants to be in the starting line-up, but you have to respect it if the coach names an unchanged team," he said.

"It is completely understandable.

"For me, it is not hard at all being a sub. There are some great players in the national side and, whether I start or not, I will do all I can to help the team.

"I know I can do a lot for the team and play an important role even if I start on the bench."
