Arsene Wenger is looking to make one more 'quality' signing to make his squad complete.

Emmanuel Adebayor has pledged to stay at Emirates Stadium and Wenger now believes he is close to full strength.

Mathieu Flamini, Alexander Hleb and Gilberto have all left the club this summer while the players Wenger has brought in - such as Samir Nasri, Aaron Ramsey and Amaury Bischoff - are all young.

Wenger admits he would like to bring in an experienced body before the transfer window closes, but has refused to comment on speculation that he could make a late move for Aston Villa's Gareth Barry.

"I don't think that the best tactic is to come out with names," said Wenger when asked if he was set to swoop for Barry.

"If we can do one more signing we will do, it but it will need to be quality.

"We don't need money to buy someone, but it's not just to buy, it has to be the right person. That is at the moment very difficult.

"It's not a problem because we have enough young players who can step in, but we lost experience and if we can get a midfielder with experience who can play a tactical role we will do it."

Title tilt

The Gunners finished third in the Premier League last season but were only four points behind champions Manchester United and Wenger is confident his side can now challenge for the title.

He said: "I believe we were very unlucky last season as a squad we have made a big improvement last year.

"We got 14 more points than the season before so this year we want to make another step forward, challenge even more and win the title.

"We feel there is no reason why with a young squad we should be less good this year than last year."
