Arsene Wenger is sticking by his reserve-team policy for their Carling Cup clash at Burnley on Tuesday.

Wenger has long used the League Cup as a testing ground for the club's young talent and once again this term they have shone.

The Gunners boss has confirmed that he will not be using any players who started the weekend's win over Chelsea - but the substitutes will be involved.

That means Mikael Silvestre, Nicklas Bendtner, Lukasz Fabianski and Carlos Vela will all likely start the match in Lancashire.

"It will be the usual team for us," Wenger told Arsenal's official website.

"But then with all the players we have out it may be even younger than before.

"The players who were on the bench at Chelsea will be involved, but those who started will not.

"That means Silvestre will play and so will Fabianski of course. We have some other first-team players [who] will play too - Vela and Bendtner.

"But we cannot play Djourou for example, he was injured at Chelsea. Gallas as well has a little calf problem. Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Eboue are not back so they will not be involved."

Jay Simpson, who scored two goals in the previous round, along with 16-year-old Jack Wilshere and Welsh star Aaron Ramsey will also feature.

Summer signing Amaury Bischoff is also in contention to see some action after returning to fitness.
