Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has expressed his desire to stay at the Emirates, despite rumours linking him with a move away from the club.

Russian side Spartak Moscow are believed to be one of the teams looking to snap the striker up in January, with German giants Bayern Munich also said to be interested.

With just eight starts in the Premier League the 20-year-old has found first team opportunities hard to come by this season.

Despite his lack of starts the Denmark international has scored five times and insists leaving the Gunners has never entered his mind.

"I don't think about all the rumours because I am an Arsenal player and really love it here," he told the Daily Telegraph.

"I hope that I can say stay here for a long time because to me Arsenal are the dream club."

Despite manager Arsene Wenger preferring Emmanuel Adebayor and Robin Van Persie up front the Frenchman is still determined not to lose the young Dane.

"At the moment no one is going out and no one is coming in," explained Wenger.

"We go into a period where many people will be creative about what will be happening.

"I think you have to be realistic as well. We have a short squad. You want everyone to focus on the club and on helping the club do as well as we can."
