Amaury Bischoff has hinted that his future lies away from Arsenal after claiming he is being tracked by two Portuguese clubs.

Bischoff arrived at Emirates Stadium on a 12-month deal from Werder Bremen having struggled with injuries, but he has since worked hard on his fitness and made three appearances for the club.

Earlier this year, the 21-year-old reserved praise for Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger by expressing his gratitude to the faith shown in him.

However, Bischoff has revealed that he chose not to play against Hull City in the FA Cup quarter-final win on Tuesday after deciding to train with the Portuguese national side.

Beautiful

He told Aujourd'hui Sport: "Arsene Wenger wanted to play me on Tuesday night against Hull City. But I absolutely wanted to train with the national team. It is important to me.

"The training period went very smoothly and (head coach) Carlos Queiroz is very nice. He suggested I will play with the B national team on 1st April against Romania, or may be with the first team."

On his Arsenal future, Bischoff added: "I will reach the end of my contract with Arsenal, which remains my priority. However, I am free to do what I want.

"I know FC Porto and Sporting are following me. I have a preference for Sporting. It is a very prestigious club that plays a beautiful Football."
