Reported Arsenal target Felipe Melo would be happy to join Juventus, despite signing a contract extension at Fiorentina just a few days ago.

It appeared as though the talented Brazilian had drawn a line under persistent speculation over his future when he penned new terms at the Viola on 30th June.

Melo joined Fiorentina last summer from Spanish side Almeria in a transfer deal worth €8million (£6.8m) and is now committed to the Tuscan club until 2013.

A buy-out clause was included in Melo's new contract and it would appear the 25-year-old Brazil international is not averse to the idea of another club matching his price tag.

"Felipe is in love with Florence and its fans, but evidently the interest from a prestigious club like Juventus, who are battling for the Scudetto and Champions League, cannot leave him indifferent," Melo's agent Umberto Fusco confirmed.

"If the Bianconeri directors reach an agreement with Fiorentina, then he would be happy."
