Celtic boss Tony Mowbray has reiterated the importance of getting the first goal against Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League clash at the Emirates on Wednesday.

The Hoops go into the vital game trailing 2-0 after the first leg at Parkhead last Tuesday.

While Mowbray acknowledges his side face an uphill task in North London, he believes there is still hope of reaching the group stages of the elite European competition.

He told Sky Sports News: "I don't think we should paint it anything other than a difficult task for us of course after the first leg.

Looking forward

"But it's a game that we're looking forward to. We are going to come and play a football match and see how we get on.

"I think I talked last week immediately after the game about trying to score the first goal and I think in any football match the third goal is a very, very crucial one - it's either game put to bed or the team who's 2-0 up can get very nervous.

"So we are at half-time in this tie and let's see if we can get the next goal."
