Arsenal have been boosted by the news that Nicklas Bendtner and Denilson have both signed new long-term contracts.

Denmark striker Bendtner had been in the final year of his contract while Brazilian Denilson has blossomed in recent seasons.

Bendtner, who spent the 2006/07 on loan with Birmingham, has 14 Premier League goals in 25 starts for The Gunners.

The 21-year-old is delighted to commit his future to Arsene Wenger's side and is looking to continue learning under the French tactician.

"It means a lot that I can commit my future to Arsenal because I have a great affection for this club," he told the club's official website.

Bendtner's progress and production has impressed Wenger and he hopes the striker will continue to develop and improve in the coming seasons.

"Nicklas has impressed me highly with his application and determination over the last season, you can see that he wants to compete at the highest level and win things," said the long-serving manager.

"He scored a number of important goals for us last season and he will look to replicate that again this year. However, it's not just about the goals, his all round contribution has improved and will continue to do so."

Denilson has been with Arsenal since 2006 and the 21-year-old midfielder is pleased he can concentrate on his football after resolving his long-term future.

"My development since I joined back in 2006 has really pleased me, and I just want to build on last season's performances," said the Brazilian.

"We have a hugely talented group of players here, and I am convinced that with everyone working together we'll be able to achieve great things.

"It's a special time to be part of this club and I'm delighted to have signed a new long-term deal."
