Fabregas: Celebrates
Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas insists they are not even looking at the group stages yet, despite needing just a point from their final two games.
The Gunners swept to a convincing 4-1 win over AZ Alkmaar at Emirates Stadium on Wednesday.
Fabregas helped himself to two goals, with Samir Nasri and Abou Diaby also finding the net.
Jeremain Lens pulled one back late on for AZ, but Arsenal strolled to victory which just about seals their place in the next round.
But Fabregas is not thinking of the knockout stages until they are mathematically there.
"It is not definite so we'll have to keep working until the end," he told Sky Sports.
"Even if we had qualified today we would have wanted to win and have gone for the six points. That is our mentality."
The Spaniard also insisted Arsenal's form and quality will only count for something if they emerge with a trophy.
"It's just the beginning of the season, nothing is done, we want to keep going until the end," Fabregas sated.
"I'll feel it is something special when we win something.
"We want to win and if we win something at the end we will say we had a good year.
"We can still do better so we'll try to improve in the next few games."
