Robin van Persie is staying grounded, Samir Nasri says Arsenal have matured, while Emmanuel Eboue believes they can win the UEFA Champions League.

The Gunners moved to within touching distance of the knockout stage with a blistering 4-1 win over AZ Alkmaar on Wednesday.

Despite Arsenal's fine start to the season, Van Persie is refusing to get carried away - stating nothing is won or lost in November.

The Gunners have gone four years without silverware since their 2005 FA Cup success and the Dutchman knows there is a long way to go.

"It is still early. We've played 10 games in the league," Van Persie told Sky Sports News. "We've had a quarter of the season basically.

"We're having a good run. We're enjoying ourselves and we hope that we can keep it going."

Fit-again Nasri scored his first Champions League goal for Arsenal against AZ and he believes Arsene Wenger's side have matured from last year.

Maturity

Arsenal need just one point to secure their place in the round of 16 and Nasri is confident they will produce what is required when Standard Liege visit later this month.

"We're more mature than last year," explained Nasri. "I think we can do something great in the Champions League.

"We need just one point from two games. I think after the game we'll have qualified."

When asked whether Arsenal can win this year's Champions League, Ivory Coast star Eboue replied: "Why not? Why not?"

The 26-year-old believes that if Wenger's squad continue to give their all and work hard then they could achieve European glory this season.

"We can win, but we just have to continue like this and try to give 100 per cent on the pitch," Eboue continued.

"Why not? We can. We can do it. If you play well and work very, very hard you can do it."
