Fabregas: Cautious
There is no point scoring goals like we are until December and then it ends. That will not win the title
. Cesc Fabregas
Quotes of the week
Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas is refusing to get carried away by his side's current free-scoring form.
The Gunners moved into second spot in the Premier League with a clinical 4-1 win over Wolves on Saturday to take their league tally to 36 goals in 11 games.
Fabregas is leading the way with nine goals this term, including five in five games in all competitions, to help Arsenal maintain their title challenge.
The Gunners are averaging three goals a game, but Spanish midfielder Fabregas admits they do worry about the goals drying up at some point this season.
"We do worry about the goals coming to an end. We talk about what will happen if they stop," said Fabregas.
"It is great when we are scoring so many goals and we have a threat all over the team, but we know that we have to keep that right the way through.
"There is no point scoring goals like we are until December and then it ends. That will not win the title.
"So the fear that the run will come to an end is keeping us focused because we want to win the title and we know we have to carry on."

Iam an Arsenal fun, and ejoying the way things are at the moment. But problem is my team tends to relax after getting two goals even when they can score ten! in so doing, they conceed very silly goals that could have been avoided.yes they are scoring alot but also letting in too many. it worries me alot.we need tittles guys lets go for them. good luck.

Arsenal have been playing the best football all season, but we have not been the best team, if that makes sense. Chelsea are scoring alot of goals and have great defence. Arsenal have blistering attack but our defence could well cost us the tittle. Hopefully Arsenal will be invincible again!

I tip my team arsenal to do well but i think arsene wenger really needs a top goal keeper and a another back defensive player as we concede cheap goals as such, but the good thing we are scoring goals which is so good. arsenal will come good comes January as chelsea and man u are just not firing at all. So come on the gunners its your time for a silver ware. Blessings to Arsene !

I would like to see Arsenal win the title this year. It is a triumph for the game to see fabulous sides succeeding. After watching the Chelsea v Man Utd game it is clear that the two strongest teams in England don't have the world class players that they think they have. The midfield battle was Fletcher, Carrick and Anderson versus Lampard, Ballack and Deco. Does anyone else find that boring and uninspiring? It was like watching two overweight grizzly bears wrestle blindfolded. I will concede that the referee was truly awful. You need to keep your whistle and your cards in your pocket during the big games - let it flow. Step in only when it's clearly needed. Ferguson played Rooney up front by himself - he would have scored a hat trick if he had someone to play with up there. He was brilliant. Drogba for me sums up everything that is wrong with the game. An overpaid, overrated prima donna. He is so irritating to watch regardless of whether he's scoring goals. Anyway, neither Chelsea or Man Utd really deserve to win the league, they are both overrated sides packed with players that merely make up the numbers. Arsenal have some wonderful talent. I hope they can remain consistent enough to really challenge for the title. It's good for the game if they can do it.

I think the scorers like Fabregas, Arshavin and van Persie will never stop scoring. They seem to be the best candidade for the PL trophy. My good guest is that they will become the CHAMPIONS.

I think the team spirit is very good at the moment and we can mount a serious title challenge this season but I still think Arsene need to spend some money on a top class goalkeeper, a solid defender and a striker capable of delivering 25 to 30 goals in a season. The likes of Diego Forlan or David Villa comes to mind cause we're got 1 of the best midfields in the league at the moment and with a real quality striker we should be able to take on any challenge...Arsenal has always manage to be in the profits so I'd really luv to see them spend on players to give themselves a real fighting chance, the youngsters can do such much and no more especially when it comes on to the champions league quarters

I would add for the the team to think about how they react when conceeding early goals, as opposed to scoring first - like what is happening now.

Well said Cesc, yes we have been scoring for fun, but we are still level on points with Man UTD (game in hand) and 2 pts behind Chelsea, to me Man utd have a habbit of peaking at the right time of the season, and Chelsea are the team to beat this season, Its great that we are doing so well but its abit early to think about trophys, see where we are in January and thank about it then, SOng will be a massive loss to us in AN cup.

I support Arsenal, I have faith in the current Manager but I feel the team at times is slow in recovery. There are times they are short in defense such that they end up conceeding soft goals. The spaces on either side of Song should be closed quickly. In attack we are transfering good numbers hence we are able to score goals that same number in attack should be able to recover quickly in order to close shop. Lets go for titles Gunners
