Promising Palermo striker Abel Hernandez has distanced himself from a move to Arsenal in the summer.

The Gunners have been linked with the 19-year-old target man in the media this week as Arsene Wenger looks to bolster his attacking options for next season.

Hernandez's imposing style has made the Uruguay Under 20 international an obvious candidate to prep up the Arsenal attack, with midweek hat-trick hero Nicklas Bendtner the only recognised powerful marksman.

But the striker's agent Vincenzo D'Ippolito insists his client, who has scored four goals in Serie A this season, is happy with life in Italy.

"There is no chance that the boy will leave Sicily," he told Calciomercato.

"The association with Arsenal is pleasing (for Hernandez), Wenger has always focused on young players.

"Many clubs like Abel, but his will and the club's is to remain in Rosanero. He's going well and is very happy".

Arsenal, who progressed to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League with an emphatic 5-0 second leg success over Porto on Tuesday, have also been heavily linked with a Bosman deal for Bordeaux's frontman Marouane Chamakh.
