Arsenal summer signing Laurent Koscielny says he will adapt to life in English football with the help of his French team-mates.

Koscielny joined the Gunners in the summer from Ligue 1 outfit Lorient and was thrown straight into action by boss Arsene Wenger.

His Premier League debut at Liverpool ended badly as the 24-year-old saw red after picking up two yellow cards.

But with fellow countrymen Abou Diaby, Bacary Sagna and Samir Nasri in the ranks, Koscielny says the transition has been made easier.

He admits football in the top flight is a step up from the previous campaign, but he is confident he can soon meet the demands of the division.

"Of course, there are many Frenchman around the club and it's been a great help having them around me when it comes to settling in," said Koscielny.

"Everything is going well. It's true that the Premier League is hard physically and is more intense than the French league.

"So, in that respect, I've had a big jump in standard. But, I will keep working hard in training and I think soon I'll get used to everything."
