Sun 5th Oct - Goodison Park

Richard Wright has vowed to keep on fighting for a first team place, despite having failed to establish himself at Everton.
When Nigel Martyn retired at the end of last season it seemed Wright was next in line to be handed an opportunity to impress between the posts at Goodison Park.
Instead, Everton boss David Moyes elected to bring in Tim Howard on loan for the season and Wright has again cut a forlorn figure alongside his manager on the bench.
Wright was, though, given a rare opportunity to impress against Manchester United in midweek and in the last year of his contract, the former Arsenal and Ipswich man has vowed to battle for an extension.
"My intention was to give the manager a headache," he told Everton TV. "Whether that has or not, I will just keep working hard.
"I am in the last year of my contract but I will keep plugging away because that is the only way I know how to work. I am not going to give up until I am told otherwise and that I am not needed.
"The only way I know how best to deal with things is by going out on the training field and working hard. With not playing, I put myself through the mill on the training pitch to make amends for not having an examination every weekend.
"I keep working hard and if that is being noticed by the manager and staff I am doing the right things."
