Cahill: Returns to International action
Tim Cahill has been named in a 35-man Australia squad ahead of their World Cup qualifier against Qatar.
The 28-year-old, who has not figured on the international scene in seven months, will figure alongside Blackburn's Vince Grella and Celtic's Scott McDonald.
Craig Moore, who earlier this year came out of international retirement, is also named in the squad as is Galatasaray's Harry Kewell.
Eugene Galekovic, Robert Cornthwaite, Scott Jamieson and Paul Reid have all earned first call-ups to the squad after catching Pim Verbeek's eye for their performances for Adelaide United in the Asian Champions League.
Victory in Brisbane would see Australia leapfrog Qatar at the top of their qualifying group.
Australia squad: Mark Schwarzer, Ante Covic, Eugene Galekovic, Michael Petkovic, Scott Chipperfield, Robert Cornthwaite, Chris Coyne, Scott Jamieson, Craig Moore, Lucas Neill, Jade North, Matthew Spiranovic, Shane Stefanutto, Luke Wilkshire, Alex Wilkinson, Tim Cahill, Mark Bresciano, Jacob Burns, David Carney, Shannon Cole, Jason Culina, Brett Emerton, Richard Garcia, Vince Grella, Brett Holman, Mile Jedinak, Stuart Musialik, Paul Reid, Mile Sterjovski,, Scott Donald, Archie Thompson, Bruce Djite, Josh Kennedy, Harry Kewell, Matt Simon
