Leon Osman is confident Everton can overcome Standard Liege to reach the Uefa Cup group phase.

Everton were held to a 2-2 draw at home in the first leg a fortnight ago and travel to Belgium as the underdogs to progress.

But Toffees midfielder Osman believes the Premier League side will be suited to playing away from home against Liege.

The team's away form has been impressive this season - in stark contrast to their results at Goodison Park - and Osman is upbeat ahead of the second leg.

Not over

"We're better suited for playing away from home, as we have proven in the Premier League this season," said Osman.

"I'm sure Liege were pretty pleased with the result they got in the first leg, but as everyone knows we've been better away, so we're still confident.

"We're not here to keel over, we're here to get the positive result we need to get through.

"It's only half-time, so it's definitely not over by any stretch of the imagination."
