Moyes: Faith in chairman

Everton manager David Moyes is backing chairman Bill Kenwright to find the best new owners for the club.

Moyes is about to commit himself to Everton by signing a new long-term contract and has every faith in Kenwright's bid to bring in fresh investment.

"Bill is trying to find someone for this club. He will find the right person. I don't think he'll take anybody just because they might throw around a few bob," Moyes told the News of the World.

Everton have had a poor start to the season but Moyes believes just throwing money at the problem could store up future problems.

He added: "We haven't done it boom or bust, we've done it steady over a few years. It might not be a surprise if a big club goes out of business soon.

"I've got to make sure it's not Everton."
