Elmander: Excited

Bolton new boy Johan Elmander has admitted he always dreamed of playing in the Premier League.

The Sweden international put pen-to-paper on a three-year contract at the Reebok Stadium on Friday to end speculation about his future.

There was interest in Elmander from clubs in Italy and Spain but Elmander is relishing the prospect of playing in his favourite league.

Elmander has also revealed that his fellow Swede Christian Wilhelmsson, who spent time on loan at Bolton last season, gave a glowing review of the club.

"I spoke to Christian before I decided to join Bolton and he said many positive things about the club," Elmander told the club's official website.

"It's a dream I've been having since I was a small child to play in the Premier League one day. It is the best league in the world so this is a dream come true for me."

Elmander is hoping to make a big impact at Bolton and is already looking forward to the first game of the season against Stoke.

He said: "I'm a player who will always fight for 90 minutes. I always give my best and play for the team.

"I think it will take me a bit of time to come into the team but when I do I will do my best and score many goals for them.

"I'm really looking forward to training with the team and I can't wait to run out there and hear the crowd when they are cheering."
