Al Habsi: Going nowhere

Bolton goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi has confirmed he will remain at the Reebok Stadium.

The Oman international was reported to have become unhappy with life with the Trotters and had been linked with moves to Bayern Munich, Galatasaray and newly-promoted Hull City.

Al Habsi is second in the pecking order to Jussi Jaaskelainen and he is likely to start on the bench next season after the Finland international decided to sign a new deal at the club.

The 26-year-old insists despite Jaaskelainen's move to sign a new deal he will stay at Bolton next season.

Settled

"I still have one year left on my contract at Bolton and I will stay with the team," Al Habsi said.

"I've heard that Jussi has signed a new contract but this means nothing as I'll stay with the team.

"Everything is okay now and I'm enjoying life here especially as my wife gave birth to a girl six months ago.

"Things were great for me at Bolton and hopefully next year will be even better."
