Gary Megson has indicated he is prepared to listen to offers for defender Danny Shittu.
The centre-back joined Bolton from Watford last August but struggled to break into the team as Andrew O'Brien and Gary Cahill formed a solid partnership.
Megson has already brought in Zat Knight this summer to push Shittu further down the pecking order.
The 28-year-old did not feature in the 1-1 draw against Hearts on Tuesday night and Megson admits a number of clubs are monitoring his situation.
The Trotters boss is now waiting to see what develops over the coming days and weeks but has hinted that Shittu could be allowed to leave.
"There is quite a bit of interest in Danny and we will see if it materialises into anything more concrete," Megson told the Bolton News.
