Skysports.com understands Bolton have won the race to sign Oldham hot-shot Tom Eaves.
A number of clubs including Fulham, Tottenham, Blackpool and Burnley were all credited with an interest in the highly-rated teenager, but Bolton have managed to lure him to the Reebok Stadium.
Bolton have been trailing the 18-year-old for some time and they stepped up their interest after Eaves scored a hat-trick against the Trotters in pre-season.
Eaves is expected to sign a three-year deal at Reebok after Bolton agreed an undisclosed fee for his services.
Eaves, who made 15 substitute appearances for Oldham last season, is highly rated and tipped for a big future in the game.
The Latics were reluctant to lose the promising attacker, but they could not turn down Oldham's offer for Eaves.
