Reading Manager Steve Coppell believes Stephen Hunt was the reason for his side's 4-0 victory over Swansea, and not the free-scoring Kevin Doyle.

Hunt was on the scoresheet, along with brother Noel Hunt and a brace from forward Doyle - who has netted seven goals in 138 minutes of action at the Madejski Stadium.

But it was Stephen Hunt who received the majority of praise from Coppell as Reading moved third in the Championship.

Coppell said: "Stephen was fantastic, he has no respect for his opponents.

Love

"He showed that in the Premier League last season and he has continued in the same way.

"It just doesn't matter who he is up against. He plays flat out in an old fashioned way, and the fans love that.

"This was a good win for us and obviously we are very pleased with the home form at the moment. We must continue in the same way, though."

This result is a blow to Swansea manager Roberto Martinez, who sees his side slip to 18th in the table.

Shame

He said: "We gave the three points to Reading in the first half, and that is a shame for us.

"Stephen Hunt is Premier League quality and from our point of view that is disappointing because he made us suffer.

"We will learn a lesson from this though, because we know what we need to improve on.

"We were not happy with the way we conceded and the first half was not good.

"At half-time our players were down, but they showed a good reaction in the second half to play better."
