Reading's Noel Hunt has been called up to the Republic of Ireland squad, after Robbie Keane and Aiden McGeady were sidelined ahead of the friendly with Poland on Wednesday.

Keane has been forced out of the squad with a shoulder injury which was diagnosed after he linked up with the party on Sunday.

Also returning to his club is McGeady, who has a thigh injury - which ruled him out of Celtic's win Hamilton.

As a result uncapped Hunt - brother of Stephen - has been handed a call-up by Giovanni Trapattoni.
