Gylfi Sigurdsson has responded to recent speculation by insisting that he is in no rush to leave Reading.

The Icelandic midfielder is hot property after catching the eye for the Royals throughout the 2009/10 campaign.

A 20-goal haul earned him the club's player of the year award and has brought him to the attention of a number of sides planning their summer transfer business.

At just 20 years old there is also the promise of much more to come from Sigurdsson, with the youngster having only made the breakthrough at the Madejski Stadium this season.

He is refusing to read too much into the furore surrounding his future, though, and insists he would be only too happy to see out his contract with Reading.

"I've got two more years on my contract and I'm not fussed about the things which are going on," he said.

"I'm happy here and playing every week so I think it would be a good idea to stay here for another two seasons. I'll just turn my phone off and enjoy the summer now.

"If we start next season properly then I think we will have a great chance to get into the Premier League. I think it will be a good season next year."
